Many
families take their beloved pets to their new homes with them. Biddulphs
contracts this service to specialist operators.

This is a relatively
easy operation, and is undertaken by road and air normally on a door to
door basis. Kennelling can be arranged when required. You merely need
to ensure that the pets' normal inoculations are up-to-date.
Insofar as international
movements of pets is concerned, the following points should be noted:
- Your cats and
dogs will need to be inoculated against rabies thirty days prior to
departure.
- A health certificate
must be issued by your local veterinarian fourteen days prior to departure.
- Both the rabies
inoculation certificate and the health certificate then have to be endorsed
by the office of the State Veterinarian.
- Import permits
for pets are required by most countries.
- Quarantine is a
requirement for many countries, for example the United Kingdom - six
months, Australia - seven months (three months in South Africa and four
months in Australia), New Zealand - the same as for Australia.

Biddulphs will undertake
the transportation of motor vehicles within Southern Africa either on
their own vehicles or via specialised car transportation.
On International
moves we will advise you in advance as to the current requirements for
the country to which you are emigrating. It is essential for you to ensure
that your motor vehicle complies with the legislated requirements in the
country to which you are moving, and that you have permission to import
same. The motor vehicle will be shipped in a standard container with a
customised frame built over it to facilitate the packing of other household
items in the same container.
